Our Awe-inspiring God!

Today let's go on a little adeventure together. Let's take a few minutes to think about Our Awe-inspiring God and I'm not sure about you but for me that's what best describes our adventure today.

Let's start at Revelation 5:11 where it tells us that that there are 10,000 x 10,000 angels in the throne room all saying in a 'loud' voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing!" 10,000 x 10,000 that's 100,000,000. WOW! For those that have a little trouble placing numbers into words that's one hundred million.
Could you imagine the sound of 100,000,000 angels, and beings, saying and singing these praises in a 'loud' voice? The sound would be unimaginable! If you ever attended a youth alive rally back in the day at Rod Laver Arena you would know that there was normally around 10,000 attendees to one of their rallies, singing and praising the God of Heaven. Now, times that noise by 10,000. Our earthly ears, and mind, just can't comprehend, yet handle that supernatural idea.

Think that's a lot to comprehend? Let's look at Revelation 4:3, "His appearance was sparkling like crystal and glowing like a carnelian gemstone. Surrounding the throne was a circle of green light, like an emerald rainbow." So God is a radiant, sparkling, magnificant deep orangey red with a rainbow with bright greens. Again, our human minds are in overload. How can God the Almighty be such a vivid show of oranges, greens, and rainbows? The beautiful thing about the colours of heaven is we don't even have words for the colours that are present in heaven. God Himself is colour Himself. He is every colour spectrum in heaven and on earth. He is the beautiful reds of the sunset and the emeralds of a forest, but He is so much more than that. There was a rainbow around the throne, His glory radiates all colours. How mind boggling, but beautiful is that thought?

Let's go further. Isaiah 6:1 tells us that the train of God's robe fills the temple. Now we've seen that the throne room has 10,000 x 10,000 angels, the elders and the living creatures, how massive is God's train? Absolutely MASSIVE! That makes Lady Diana's wedding dress train, that went down the ailse of Westminster Abbey, look miniscule. Now some of these angels are ginormous, we're not talking tiny cherubs here, we're talking massive heavenly beings. 100,000,000 massive heavenly beings. Our God is so big, so great and so mighty that just His train fills the massive, incomprehesible throne room of God.

How amazing does the throne room sound to you? I know for me it's incredible to just sit here and think about a place that is really that big.
Imagine when you stand in front of the tallest mountain you've ever stood in front of, how small did you feel? I know that first time I stepped off of the plane in Queenstown, New Zealand, that has the runway literally at the base of The Remarkables, I had never experienced mountains so big and I was surrounded by them. I was blown away, awestruck, even a little intimidated by the sheer size and scale. If a meer mountain gives us that feeling what will it be like to be in the presence of the throne room, and the Most High God, on that day we get to join the chorus in worship to Our Heavenly Father. Wow, is all I can say. I know for me I'm probably going to be either a bubbling mess or standing there with my jaw open and then fall to my knees in awe and wonder, because I won't be able to do anything more than go WOW!

How amazing is it that we have a God this big loving us, fighting for us, providing for us, guiding us, and like it saying is Zephaniah 3, singing over us in delight? What an incomprehsible, amazing, awe-inspiring, loving God. He chose us. Isn't that incredible? I know this makes me feel so incredibly loved and to think He comes bounding over mountains, like it says in Song of Songs 2:8, just to gaze upon our beauty. This is the same God that it says a couple of verses earlier in Song of Songs 2:6, that with His left hand He cradles our head and with His right arm encircles our waist. Now that, that is a loving God. And that is Our Great and Powerful God of All. The Alpha and The Omega. Our Beginning and Our End.
Amen.

Blessings to you this day, the day that the Lord has made,

Holly xo
