Decree of the Week - 24/07/23 - 30/07/23

DECREE OF THE WEEK!

We declare that the anointing of God will touch and transform our mouths! Maybe an odd sounding declaration this week but such a powerful one. The mouth/tongue is the most powerful part of a persons body, It is used for 'praising and cursing [that] come out of the same mouth' (James 3:10). Imagine the power of our praises and our words if we dedicate our mouths and tongues to be used for God's glory and His kingdom. Imagine the conversations that could be had. Imagine the lives we could be changing. Imagine the intercession that could be happening if we hand over our mouths/tongues to God. Here are some verses to help with declaring these things over ourselves this week, Ask God to touch your mouth like He did Isaiah. Isaiah 6:7 - "He touched my mouth with it and said: Now that this has touched your lips, your wickedness is removed and your sin is atoned for." Ask the Holy Spirit to enable your words. Acts 2:4 - "Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different languages, as the Spirit gave them ability for speech." Ask God to ignite your words with His fire and to set your words ablaze. Jeremiah 5:14 - "Therefore, this is what the Lord God of Hosts says: Because you have spoken this word, I am going to make My words become fire in your mouth. These people are the wood, and the fire will consume them. " Ask the Holy Spirit to give you His wisdom in your words. Luke 21:15 - "for I will give you such words and a wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict." Ask Jesus for the your words to hold the authority that He promised. Luke 10:19 - "Look, I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; nothing will ever harm you." For Jesus said, “Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8).
