Decree of the week - 21/08/23 - 27-08-23
DECREE OF THE WEEK!!WE DECLARE THAT GOD IS OUR STRENGTH!!!! Isaiah 40:29-31, "God strengthens the weary and gives vitality to those worn down by age and care. Young people will get tired; strapping young men will stumble and fall. But those who trust in the Eternal One will regain their strength. They will soar on wings as eagles. They will run—never winded, never weary. They will walk—never tired, never faint." (VOICE) and in the TPT, "He empowers the feeble and infuses the powerless with increasing strength. Even young people faint and get exhausted; athletic ones may stumble and fall. But those who entwine their hearts with YAHWEH will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their races without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up." God wants you to pause and take that in. Pause. Meditate on those words. I know these are popular words read in church and we can miss the real power in them, but let's pause in these words today. But those who entwine their hearts with YAHWEH will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their races without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up. We tend to walk life doing things in our own strength, and the strength of man is feeble in comparison to the mighty and all powerful Yahweh. God gives strength for all that we need to run the race of life. As it says in Philippians 2:13 God gives us strength because God is energizing [us] so that [we] will desire and do what always pleases Him. Isn't that what we are called to do, please Him? We place pressure on ourselves to do all things, to be all things, to achieve all things, but God ultimately calls us to please Him. And we do that not by being busy and filling our lives with so much stuff that we have no more strength to love our families, to read His Word, to sing praises to Him, to be a friendly smile in this world. It may not be busyness that has left you weary or heavy burdened, it may be sickness, conflict, family strain, work place stresses. Whatever it may be God is our strength and He gives us all we need to get through the day. Jeremiah 33:6 says, I will restore this city and heal the wounds of My people. I will lavish them with peace and stability. He not only will give us strength but he heals, gives us stability and lavishes us with peace. When we are at rest and peace things don't always feel so heavy, and in a way we have received the strength we needed through the peace. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, why wouldn't He want to lavish us and wash over us with an abundance of peace? Ask Him and He will fill your whole being and surroundings with such peace like you have never experienced. Like it says in John 14:27, I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous! The peace of Jesus is nothing like the peace of this world, it encompasses everything we need to have the strength and peace we need to get through our days. Peace, strength, health, abundance. Whatever it may be, the Prince of Peace is the giver of all of it. We are His and He gives the greatest gifts to His bride. Let me leave you with some soaking scriptures this week on strength to speak over yourselves. Remember speaking not only reading brings things into existence, so speak them out over yourself and fill your world with His Word. God promises to "revive [our] drooping head," like it says in Psalm 23:5 in The Message. Psalm 68:28, [Your God is the One who has given you strength] show Your power, O True God, as You have done for us. (VOICE) Psalm 68:35, God, You are awe-inspiring in Your sanctuaries. The God of Israel gives power and strength to His people. May God be praised! (HCSB) Zechariah 10:6, "Eternal One: I will give strength to the people of Judah and liberate the northern descendants of Joseph. I will restore their standing because I care for them and they will live as if I never sent them away, For I am the Eternal their God, and I will answer their call." (VOICE) Zechariah 10:12, "I will give strength to My people, and in My name will they live. So says the Eternal One." (VOICE) 1 Corinthians 1:8, "He will keep you steady and strong to the very end, making your character mature so that you will be found innocent on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." (TPT) 1 Corinthians 1:25b, "... and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength." (HCSB) Stand firm in the knowledge that you are not alone, your Saviour is with you and gives you all the strength you need now and always. Blessings, Holly xo
